Coredio Appoints Cardiologist and Digital Health Pioneer Dr. Jennifer Monti as Chief Medical Officer

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 28, 2026 Coredio, a digital health company developing noninvasive hemodynamic intelligence for heart failure care, today announced that Jennifer Monti, MD, MPH, a practicing cardiologist and health technology entrepreneur, has joined the company as Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Monti brings more than a decade of leadership at the intersection of clinical cardiology, medical devices, and artificial intelligence. Previously, as a Research Scientist at Meta, she served as clinical lead for health AI evaluation and safety, overseeing clinical trials for regulated and non-regulated health products and launching health AI features for smart glasses.

A serial founder, Dr. Monti previously founded and served as Chief Scientific Officer of Hemos, a medical device company focused on noninvasive estimation of systemic vascular resistance, where she successfully led fundraising, a 238-patient clinical trial, and FDA Breakthrough Device designation applications. She also founded the Innovation Cohort at MaineHealth, an internal incubator that generated two spin-off companies and secured FDA Emergency Use Authorization for a ventilation splitter developed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Monti will lead Coredio’s clinical strategy, including evidence generation, clinical trial design, regulatory strategy, and clinical safety, helping bring the company’s technology to patients living with heart failure.

“Jennifer first worked with us as our Entrepreneur in Residence at Northeastern University’s accelerator two years ago. Having pursued a similar vision herself, she saw the incredible potential of noninvasive hemodynamic intelligence to transform cardiac care. Two years later, seeing the preclinical validation data that supported our FDA Breakthrough Device Designation inspired her to join us in making that vision a reality. We couldn’t ask for a better person to help us bring it to patients,” said Yashar Vahedein, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO of Coredio.

Alongside her role as Coredio’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Monti continues to practice as a cardiologist. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and echocardiography. Her published research spans heart failure therapeutics and non-invasive photoplethysmography-based assessment of cardiac filling pressures, with work appearing in Nature Medicine, the American Journal of Cardiology, and the American Journal of Medicine.

“Heart failure remains one of the most common, costly, and undertreated conditions in medicine,” said Dr. Monti. “Coredio is building the tools to change that, and I’m excited to help translate its technology into evidence-backed products that improve the lives of patients and the clinicians who care for them.”

Dr. Monti earned her B.A. in Biochemistry with honors from Harvard College and her M.D. with Special Qualifications in Biomedical Research and Master of Public Health from Case Western Reserve University. She completed internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University Bayview Medical Center and cardiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She has also served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute.

About Coredio

Coredio is a digital health company based in Santa Clara, California, developing a physiologic intelligence layer on top of commercial wearables, called the Cardiac Performance Simulation Engine (CPSE). The platform combines a cardiovascular digital twin with artificial intelligence to assess catheter-grade hemodynamic status using input data from consumer smartwatches and standard blood pressure cuffs. Coredio aims to help clinicians recognize deterioration earlier and support proactive heart failure care beyond the hospital. CPSE has received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and remains investigational; the designation does not constitute FDA clearance or approval. For more information,
